Making people better without artificial, with natural ingredients. That should be possible, according to pharmacists Bas Bruines and Rob de Wolf. In 2014 they founded BrOnPharma: a company in self-care products that go back to the source.
About the Makers
Bruines took stock in 2008 during a holiday in Gran Canaria. How can you give a pharmacy an extra right to exist and retain customers? How can you make people better with honest products that contain few artificial substances – and therefore more natural ingredients – and also package those products in a sustainable jacket? Bruines connects with Rob de Wolf, a business partner with whom he exchanges his ideas and ultimately brings them to life. With BrOnPharma products, the pharmacist duo ensures that customers return (even) more often to public pharmacies, health shops and drugstores.
The products
BrOnPharma kicks off with a natural cough syrup for throat complaints that also tastes good. Bruines and De Wolf know better than anyone that a good cough syrup is only taken if the user also likes the drink. BrOnPharma now makes a Thyme Elixir (health product), a Licorice Elixir (health product), an Althea & Thyme Elixir (medical device, consult the instructions for use before use) and a Honey & Thyme Elixir (medical device, consult the instructions for use before use). Natural ingredients are the basis for this. Since 2010, Bruines and De Wolf’s company has also been making and supplying Zuiver Ointment, for baby’s bottoms, in convenient and hygienic packaging. BrOnPharma health products are currently available at community pharmacies, drugstores and online stores.
